30 Day Challenge- Day 16
Day 16! Past the halfway mark! Today was inspiration. The first animated
movie I remember watching was Who Framed Roger Rabbit? I used to watch
it on a loop. Looking back at it now, I know it was more for the fact
that I really wanted a world where cartoons coexisted with humans. Where
I would be able to fake sky-dive with Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse and
ride a smart mouthed cartoon taxi. All of the anti corporate greed and
monopoly plot-lines completely went over my head, but, it doesn't
matter. It made me want to create worlds as real as that one felt to me.
So that maybe someone else could feel as awesome as I did the first 100
times I saw that movie. Plus Jessica Rabbit? Shwing.

30 Day Challenge- Day 15!
Day 15- Draw your family! I have an older brother, mom and dad. My
brother is only 10 and a half months older though, so as kids we were
almost like twins until we hit puberty and I grew into a giant until
about 13. Then he hit puberty and... I still pretend I'm a giant. Now,
though, since I am SOOOOOOO much more mature (wink wink nudge nudge), I
tend to see him as a younger brother. And my mom and dad are just
awesome.

30 Day Challenge- Day 14
Day 14- Favorite fairytale. Alice in wonderland. It was the first time I felt like I was on acid. Good times!
The Most Ordinary
Will be up tomorrow, Tuesday, and on Saturday for this week. Work is... 12 hour days for the foreseeable future.

30 Day Challenge- Day 13!
A comic. And, since I've been busy with work and The Most Ordinary, I'm
gonna go ahead and cheat and use a comic I did for my friend Nilah's
comic, MFK.
Jinkies indeed. Check out her comic HERE And check out more of my comic: The Most Ordinary

30 Day Challenge- Day 11
This one is late but,in my defense, I slept REALLY well.
Day 11- Turning point in your life. I came out to my mom when I was 16.
It... was tough. But her reaction, at least now that its almost been 10
years, is kinda hilarious.
I just blurted it out to her.
And then she went through the 5 stages of grief. Her version of grief that is.
Stage 1- utter shock. Hold a spoon under the subject's nose to make sure they're still breathing.
Stage 2- anger. Make sure there's nothing sharp or breakable near the
subject. Also, for more advanced subjects, a bible on hand might be
useful.
Stage 3- sadness. Welling up of tears, distraught subject appears inconsolable.
Stage 4- sadness. More tears, distraught subject appears inconsolable.
Stage 5- sadness. Even more tears, maybe some mucus, distraught subject
appears inconsolable. Bring a chair, the guilt-trips should begin
immediately after.
Again, hindsight is a helluva thing, which allows for jokes to be had.
My mom told me the other day "I think I knew you were gay since you were
8." I immediately followed up with one of these:
MHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

30 Day Challenge- Day 8
Favorite cartoon characters. I have to say, Goofy, from A Goofy Movie is
one of the funniest and cutest characters ever. My brother and I spend
years 10-18 quoting him to each other when ever we wanted to stop the
other from being mad. Worked like a charm. Bruce Timm's Batman, from the
Batman Animated Series? One of the greatest
superheros/characters/detectives ever. He fought, he had sex and he had
emotions. All while trying to somehow stay pg enough for kids. Needless
to say, seeing Mr. J and Harley Quinn in an abusive relationship, the
Scarecrow trying to manipulate Batman into forgetting his life as
Batman, and Batman and Robin on the lamb from the police when Batgirl
thinks she dies horribly and tragically, pushed all boundaries of what a
cartoon show could and SHOULD do. I really don't see any action shows
coming even remotely close now-a-days.

30 Day Challenge- Day 7
Someone had a tablet at work so I got to goof off and do this during a
break. I have many favorite movies but this is definitely one of them.
Fifth Element all the way. During college, we would gather at a friends
apartment and watch it monthly on the projector he rented from the
school's library. Good times.

30 Day Challenge- Day 4
Favorite place. When she lets me get this close to her? Bliss. Though,
probably not for her. She hates to be touched when she's trying to
sleep. Or when shes awake. Or if you don't have ham.
30 Day Challenge- Day 3!
Day 3! Favorite Food! I like chocolate, but I think I may like spaghetti marinara a little more. Tough Choice.
Also, I started a tumblr. I'll still be using this blog mainly but now I get to harass tumblr kids with my love.

Also, you can follow me on twitter now, @AlejQuintas. (Though I will only be posting updates for The Most Ordinary on it.)
Starting Monday!
Along with a new comic for The Most Ordinary
, I will also be doing this while starting back up at Vicon: House of
Moves as a mocap animator for the next month. (Maybe more for the gig,
30 days for the sezzy challenge!)
