Cartoon Network Birthday Book TOO
Cartoon Network celebrated their 20th Birthday in style at last year’s Comic-Con. Murphy Design was chosen to team up with Cartoon Network’s graphic department in search of inspired artists who would reimagine twenty-years worth of cartoon history. (above, Black plate on left prints as a varnish over the full color plate on the right).
Fifteen countries are creatively represented amongst the 79 artists printed over 168 full-color pages in the Cartoon Network Birthday Book. The book features unique printing techniques, varnishes and new worlds remained of some of your favorites—Adventure Time, Power Puff Girls, Dexter’s Laboratory, Regular Show, Ben 10, Gumball and more. (above, left is the color plate and right is the clear varnish printed over the top of the color plate).
Cartoon Network Brazil is reprinting this classic and the book is on press. Since prep and production is now in full circle, I thought to share a few of the press sheets with all of you. Enjoy and tune in to Cartoon Network.
